Grouped together

Many Blog Post
Due to my over working this summer and all the stress that I have been putting on myself I posted all the blog post on another forum. Not sure how this happened but it has now been copied and move to the right one. (And deleted an no longer exists) Here are all the post not in any order or fashion but they are now in the correct place.

Moving on a Path
Moving on a path is one that I will use in my game. Since the fish will be moving on a sideways screen. I did not want them just to move left and right in a straight line but learning that we can make the object move on a certain path is more life like ir fish like in my case. I hope it makes the difficulty level a little bit harder than figuring out that they run jus tin a straight line and hopefully making the game more challenging and fun.

Character Effects
The character Effects has given me a few ideas in the game that I can add for novelty or humor in the game. I have thought about making the fish jump out of water and possible stick there tongues out and the user making it fun for the kids and taunting the adult player. If I go ahead and move forward with this the fish will jump up out of the water and look at the user and stick tongue out then start to descend in the water and then fade away then a Splashing sound effect.

Sound Effects
Sound Effects will bring the game to life or make it more than hopefully a point and click game. I want to implement the nature sounds as if you were fishing your grandpa on the side of the lake in the morning. What sounds would you hear I thought to myself? Of course there will be birds, crickets, and maybe the sound of a brook rambling across the rocks. When you cast you should here the line hit the water making a smaller splash. When you fight a fish you should here the more aggressive splashing of the fishing trying to escape off the hook.

The Moving Background
The Moving Background in my game will be a little different than what I think of when you say moving background. The normal game would have the player or character running on a left or right screen then maybe jumping up to platforms or ladders to go up or down to different levels. My screen is going to be half and half. The landscape will be stationary not moving at all. The water will give the effect of moving. I want to also have the Clouds moving in the background and other things to make more than just a picture but trying to give it a more 3d as I can look. Having a Hot air balloon up close at first then going out of the vanishing point fading into the horizon. Birds and maybe animals moving also as well as the fish and other things in the water.

Drag and Drop

On drag and drop im not 100% sure how and if I will implement this into my game. Maybe it will be later on when I select my gear. I could have it change color when you select the reel and your bait. It not having any chance to effect your outcome but I wanted to bring this into the game for the kid factor. I know kids like to pick and choose different things when playing games.

Collision Detection
For Collision Detection I will be able to make the game more challenging by making you take the arrow and move it around to try and hit the fish while they are swimming in the lake. You will have to target the hit area to catch the fish. It would get boring really fast if every time you cast you caught you a fish. So the collision detection will make it more of a challenge having the target area smaller on the fish worth more points and larger on the fish worth fewer points.

Jumping
For Jumping I plan or going to try to make the fish jump on there own when maybe they get to a certain area. I want to make the fish and other things as frogs and maybe surprises in the game jump in and out off the water.
